Shaun Bailey inspecting the fly-tip behind St Clements and Dorset Mansions
Shaun Bailey witnessed first hand the problems of fly-tipping in Fulham Reach on Tuesday, having been informed of an ongoing problem in the area. People have been dumping old furniture, builders waste and general rubbish in the bin areas of St Clement Mansions and Dorset Mansions and surrounding areas, and local residents raised the issue with Shaun.
Since 2006 huge improvements have been made in Hammersmith and Fulham in terms of clearing up enviro-crimes such as fly-tipping, Shaun found out about this case of fly-tipping which had been missed. Shaun took direct action and reported the problem to the council who have said they will act quickly and tidy up the mess.
Commenting, Shaun said, “I understand that the council has made huge in-roads with the problems of graffiti and fly-tipping, which they inherited from the previous Labour administration. Unfortunately due to the large number of cases, this one was missed. I am delighted to hear, after raising the issue with the council, that they will act quickly to resolve this problem. This is good news for the local residents and good news for the future of our borough!”
